A Prayer for our Police

Here in Romans, Paul states what should be obvious: “Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority?  Then do what is right and he will commend you.”  But what he’s saying is more than slogans like “Law-abiding citizens have nothing to worry about.”  The apostle goes on to say, “He is God’s servant to do you good.” In an era in which the role of officers is taken for granted, or even maligned, take a closer look at why God has described them as His "servants" and calls for prayers on their behalf.
