Salvation That Lasts Forever

There are some things that look like they will endure forever.  That’s what makes it so shocking when they don’t. You and I may despair when those things that we thought would last forever crumble around us.  As the Israelites looked around them all they could see was the ruins which surrounded them. So, God them to look back. Was He simply telling the Israelites to cheer up remember the good-old days?  No, it was much more than that! God invites you and me to look back to His promise fulfilled at the cross. It's only then that we can look ahead with confidence and rejoice in a salvation that is ours now and will last forever.
